
Safeline parenting workshop is soon to commence online via zoom on Wednesday 30th November, Wednesday 7th December & Wednesday 14th December at 5-6pm. This will be the last one before term ends.
Parent workshops:
Safeline are delivering parent workshops that are delivered online covering 3 topics that could affect their young person, these include: Internet Safety, Mental Health, and Bullying. These are 1-hour workshops delivered on Zoom that provide an insight and advise on how to keep their young person safe.
- The first session is based on Internet Safety which includes the following outcomes: Providing knowledge around social media apps/websites, offering an understanding around online grooming – the risks and dangers, provide a deeper understanding of Cyberbullying and how to respond to it and understanding the risks behind Online Gaming.
- The second session will be about Mental Health and Welfare issues, which will provide an understanding of what Mental Health is, allow you to gain a better knowledge of what can affect children’s mental health, how to best support children if they are suffering with Mental Health Issues and any useful apps/websites that you can use to help.
- The final session will highlight important topics such as Bullying, other abuse and Good Citizenship. The session discusses how Safeline educates children on what it means to be a good citizen, an ethical bystander and how to promote diversity.
