>> ABOUT

Nicholas Chamberlaine School VI FormĀ offers you the opportunity to study in our new, custom designed VI Form provision with a vibrant, friendly and supportive atmosphere.

We are an inclusive VI Form and welcome students from all backgrounds across the Nuneaton and Bedworth area.

We offer subjects and qualifications to support a wide variety of progression pathways, taught by expert practitioners who are deeply committed to helping you meet the demands of your studies. With an emphasis on supportive pastoral care, you will be part of a form group with daily contact from your personal tutor to help ensure you get the most out of your time with us.

We are delighted to support our students to ensure that they have access to a wide variety of opportunities after they leave. We offer visits and trips to university open days, welcome inspirational speakers into school and encourage engagement with wider and extra- curricular experiences. A large proportion of our students choose to take up a University place, including at Russell Group universities. We work closely with local Universities around access, in particular Warwick University and its Scholars programme. Other students choose an apprenticeship or degree apprenticeship. We have strong links with local and national organisations, such as PWC and Jaguar Land Rover, to facilitate this pathway.

Itā€™s important to us that when you leave our VI Form you do so with more than ā€˜just a set of gradesā€™. At Nicholas Chamberlaine VI Form there are tremendous opportunities for personal development. You are given the chance to take on leadership roles and responsibilities and participate in activities which will develop you personally and allow you to contribute to and benefit from the wider community; through, for example, support work in local primary schools, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, mentoring Year 7 students, paired reading schemes and by working with staff to run whole school events such as our Griffin Sports and Arts Festivals. Each year we also nominate a local charity and our VI Form Student Leadership team are responsible for raising money through a variety of events.

Our students are successful, confident and caring young people. Their success is a tribute to their commitment, dedication and hard work, underpinned by many elements, including exceptional teaching, a diverse programme of enrichment, bespoke facilities, a first-rate university preparation programme and an ethos and culture which supports and guides all our students in ensuring their time at Nicholas Chamberlaine School VI Form is an amazing one.

We are incredibly proud of our VI Form and are even more excited by what lies ahead.

We encourage Year 11 students who share our ambition and appetite for success to consider making an application to study with us so that you can become part of the next chapter of our NCS story.

2024 Results

100% of our students achieved a pass in at least two subjects and nearly a third of our students three or more A*-B or equivalent grades. 84% of our students have accepted places at university. This is a phenomenal achievement.

Some individual successes include gaining places at:

  • the University of Manchester to study Maths
  • the University of Leicester to study Medicine
  • the University of Birmingham to study Law
  • the University of Warwick to study Accounting and Finance
  • the University of Warwick to study Psychology
  • the University of Manchester to study Business Management
  • the University of Liverpool to study Law and Criminology
  • the University of Cardiff to study Architecture

A number of students are beginning exciting adventures into the world of work and apprenticeships; others are embarking on a gap year to increase specific skills and experience. All of this is testament to the rich and diverse student community we are building at NCS.

We are incredibly proud of all our students and we wish them all the very best in the future.
