Founders Day

By 1 March 2024April 23rd, 2024No Comments

Today the Griffin Schools Trust celebrated the ninth annual Founders Day across its family of schools. This cherished occasion served as a poignant reminder of each school’s roots, their identity, and the remarkable journey they’ve embarked on together as a community.

At NCS, the day commenced with a family breakfast, bringing together staff and students in our dining area. This shared meal set the tone for a day filled with camaraderie and reflection.

Following breakfast, our school community gathered for an assembly led by our VI Form student leaders. Together, we celebrated our Proud Traditions and Wide Horizon events that have defined the past academic year, in particular, the focus of celebration was on the fundraising and community service activities that have taken place. It was a time to recognise the dedication and spirit of each student who contributed to these meaningful pursuits.

A highlight of the morning’s festivities was an award ceremony acknowledging our Griffin role models and their outstanding achievements at NCS in the Arts. These individuals exemplify the values of our school and serve as inspiration to their peers and the wider community.

Founders Day not only serves as an opportunity to honour our past achievements but also to envision our future. As we look ahead, we are filled with gratitude for the strong foundation upon which NCS stands and excitement for the continued growth and success that lies ahead.

Together, with our fellow GST schools, we remain steadfast in our commitment to proud traditions, wide horizons and high achievement. Happy Founders Day to all!
