Today our Griffin Childrenâs Chorus students along with Year 10 Music GCSE students and the NCS Brass Band took part in a celebration of carols. The concert took place at St Giles Church, Barbican (London) whjere they were joined by choirs from the other eleven school who make up the Griffin Schools Trust (GST).
The event, led by GST Director of Music Lewis Delivett, was the culmination of so much hard work and dedication throughout the year and the ambitious programme included works by Benjamin Britten, Jonathon Dove, Joanna Lee and Franz Gruber.
A special âthank youâ goes to Trevor Hounsome, who not only led the NCS brass band but also composed the magnificent Joyful Fanfare that opened the proceedings.
It really was a wonderfully festive afternoon of music. Thank you to everyone who took part.
