Our Year 7 netball team had their first tournament this week. Students demonstrated a positive attitude and showcased their talents winning 3 out of 4 games! The second part of the tournament will be held in March.

On Tuesday evening the Year 10 netball squad did a match analysis session. They analysed an international match, studying their position in more detail, tactics used to outwit the opponent and enhanced their knowledge of the rules. They will then analyse their own performance next half term to compare and contrast to improve their own performance.

Last week the Year 9 Rugby team won the North Warwickshire Rugby Tournament, beating stiff competition in the form of Higham Lane, Polesworth and St Thomas More. The boys put in some amazing try-saving tackles, supported each other in the breakdown and ran with the ball in a positive manner. Some players were playing their first game of rugby. All students should be very proud of their accomplishment.
Our year 7 and 8 girls football team had a small 9-a-side tournament against George Eliot Academy and The Nuneaton Academy after school today. They drew one game 0-0 and lost one game 3-0 but all girls showed great teamwork and dedication and with even more training thereā€™s so much potential for this team!
Our Year 9 netball teams took part in their first tournament of the year last week. Both teams worked so well as a team and really showed off everything they have been working on in training over the past few weeks.
A group of year 9 students were picked to take part in a sports leadership workshop. They took part in various practical skills and unpicked the qualities that are essential for a good sports leader. They all worked really well, working with different schools to build on their skill set of becoming a fantastic sports leaders.
