Warwickshire Music Partnership

After the triumph of our Jingle Bell Orchestra event last December, we’ve teamed up once again with Warwickshire Music for another exciting collaboration. Today marked the inaugural Bedworth Come and Play day, where 145 children from six Bedworth Schools united to create music.

The day kicked off with delightful performances from local primary schools, showcasing their talent on ukuleles, flutes, and guitars. This was followed by a captivating performance from our very own Nicholas Chamberlaine Symphony Orchestra (NCSO), joined by additional local primary schools for an orchestral spectacle. The event concluded with a concert for parents and the Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth Councillor Martin Walsh and Mayoress Sandra Walsh.

The morning repertoire included lively renditions of classics like “A Sailor Went to Sea,” “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley, and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” The afternoon session had performances of “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus and the spirited “Russian Dance” by Tchaikovsky.

Music has long been a cherished tradition in Bedworth, and witnessing these young talents carry it forward was truly inspiring.

Congratulations to all the participants for their outstanding contributions!
